A passkey is a secure way to verify your identity without entering a verification code. It is stored securely by your device or passkey provider and is unlocked using your fingerprint, facial recognition, device PIN or screen lock.

Passkeys are quick to use and resistant to phishing. They cannot be guessed or reused like passwords, and they eliminate the need to wait for or type a verification code.

You can create a passkey on a compatible smartphone, tablet or computer, including an iPhone, iPad, Android device, Windows PC, Mac or Chromebook. You may also be able to save a passkey to a compatible security key or password manager. Your device must have a screen lock, such as facial recognition, a fingerprint, PIN, passcode or screen pattern. Available options may vary based on your device, browser and operating system.

Step 1: Log into the 黑料网 portal and click on My Profile.

Step 2: Click Set Up Passkey.

Step 3: Follow the prompts from your browser or device. You may be asked to use your fingerprint, facial recognition, device PIN or screen lock.

Step 4: After setup is complete, you can select Passkey as a verification method when you log in.

Yes. You can add a passkey on each device you use. Some passkeys may also sync across devices through your Apple, Google or Microsoft account, depending on your device and account settings.

Yes. Log into the 黑料网 portal, click on My Profile and follow the prompts to add another passkey. Keeping more than one verification method available can help you maintain access if a device is lost or replaced.

If your passkey syncs through your Apple, Google or Microsoft account, it may be available on your new device after you sign in to that account. Otherwise, use another registered verification method to access the 黑料网 portal, then go to My Profile to remove the old passkey and add a new one.

Authenticator apps offer stronger protection because:

• Codes refresh every 30 seconds.
• No network connection is required to retrieve the code.

Step 1: Download an authenticator app on your mobile device. Popular choices include Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy and Duo Mobile.

Step 2: Log into the 黑料网 portal and click on My Profile to begin authenticator app setup. Follow the instructions on screen.

 Note: If you plan to use authenticator apps on multiple devices or want to add a device in the future, be sure to save the key code provided during initial setup.

Step 3: You now have the option to select Authenticator App as a verification method during login.

Yes, you can use the same QR code or key code with multiple devices or authenticator apps. This is helpful if:

• You want a backup device in case your primary one is lost or unavailable.
• You use multiple devices (e.g., phone and tablet).

 Note: If you do not have the QR code or key code used during initial device setup, you will need to reconfigure your 2-step verification settings to add additional devices.

Yes. You will need to log into the 黑料网 portal using the text message or phone verification method, then go to My Profile to reconfigure your 2-step verification settings and set up a new device.

The countdown timer ensures that each code is time-sensitive and short-lived, which makes it much harder for someone to intercept and reuse it. These codes are valid only for a brief period, increasing security by limiting the window in which a stolen code could be used.
